These are on corrugated plastic which lasts years if kept clean. Severe weather will not usually harm these, the print is long lasting and laminated on top of that, so it is meant to last.

The photo shown is of a sign that is already a year old, the edges have not been cleaned, this is the amount of wear and tear you can expect.
