It’s not just Sugar – Seed Oils & Refined Carbs too

Diabetes. All of these things combined, not just sugar, are harming us all. There is a reason diabetes and natural health is on my radar, big time. It hit home very hard.

How we got fooled is a whole other story, but re-learning what we were taught needs a starting point.

These three things in combination:  seed oils, refined carbs and sugar, all together as a unit making us sick, makes perfect sense. So conclusion, you can’t just quit one, it’s ALL of them.

I’m no stranger to natural healing. After healing my own sinus infections by fasting, and later by maintaining allergies with a neti pot, it’s not easy to convince me to do otherwise. Salt. Go figure. (Neti Pot and Fasting blog here … )

This makes total sense. Follow along with what he is describing here about how that sticky business happens inside your insides, just think of how NASTY it is when say… you take vegetable oil in a plastic container, use it to fry something and what is left there, becomes stinky and sticky and things just stick to it… think of that being inside your stomach. It’s nauseating just thinking of that because in restaurants frying fries in the same oil, over and over and over day after day after day, oh yes it happens… OMG.

Due to inflammation, joints and muscles flaring up and every single part of my body hurting due to my sudden very bad diet, one way of handling personal trauma of losing family.

There is a really great visual chart on Etsy and I used it as my shopping list. It’s not 100% black and white accurate but very close and a great tool to shop with it. (link below)

It isn’t hard, just time consuming. Everything you buy, mayonnaise, relish, everything has these seed oils in it. So it’s out. Finding replacement solutions one by one is what I’ve been trying to do, rather than give in and eat any one of these horrible things.

The list… that is the key to starting somewhere. There is one copy on the fridge and one for shopping that one goes with me to the store.

A shopping list of not only what to buy, what NOT to buy. You cannot bring garbage food into the house, and then try not to eat it. That might be a good definition of insanity.

Start at the grocery store. Don’t buy it in the first place. I have a list of the various names fillers and binders and other hidden things come in, that will be added here later. Stuff like guams and other things we just don’t think about.

We live in a society now where proper nutrition is not a given. Often when people see how big the problem is, they give up. You don’t have to, you just have to throw out the old playbook.

 

This is not only for myself but for my remaining family, anyone who has a mental block, anyone who needs a place to start…  it can be done. There are plenty of yummy replacements for things, so thinking of those things instead of what you give up at first and finding new ways to eat, that’s actually fun and creative.

Thinking about what you can’t eat… that gets you nowhere but back to the doctor.
